Meet the Rabbis and Rebbetzins

Rabbi Yossi Marcus, a native (southern) Californian, is an accomplished writer and translator of Jewish literature. Esty, originally from Portland, Maine, received her Masters degree in education from the University of New England. She serves as director of the Chai Jewish Preschool and co-directs the Jewish Women's Circle. Yossi and Esty are the proud parents of four daughters.

In 2007, Rabbi Moishe Weinbaum moved to S. Mateo to join the Chabad NP  team as the Program Director.  Born in the UK, Moishe spent his early years studying in Yeshiva in London.   He later moved on to study in the Rabbinical College of America where he received his Rabbinical Ordination.  Moishe continued his studies in Bal Harbor Florida and then moved to Brooklyn, NY, where he met his wife Raizel.

Hailing from Southern California, Raizel Weinbaum is the Pre-K Instructor at Chai Preschool and is involed in Judaic enrichment at Chabad NP.
After studying in Safed, Israel where she obtained her Judaic teaching credentials,  Raizel went on to New York where she taught in Jewish day schools in New York City and
Long Island.  "Teaching has always been my passion," says Weinbaum.  Raizel enjoys spending time with her children and cooking up a good bowl of chicken soup.
