Last year’s gala got us off to a great start. It was fun, inspirational, and a good fundraiser!

So we’re doing it again….on January 27th.

We’re looking forward to some tasty cuisine, musical entertainment and an overall good time while celebrating the work of Chabad NP in the past year and forging ahead for bigger and better things in the future.

We’ve booked Benny Friedman of Minnesota, an up-and-coming Jewish singer, whose beautiful voice has inspired audiences all over the world. He will be accompanied by pianist Sharone Kushnir, who is coming back by popular demand!  We have also booked Rabbi Dov Greenberg, of Chabad at Stanford, to deliver the keynote address and to perform with Benny the unique show, “Judaism, the Story and the Song.”

We’re calling it “An Evening of Inspiration” and look forward to just that.

We hope that the work of Chabad in the past year will inspire you to continute to support us financially by attending the dinner.

We hope you will consider one of the sponsorship levels listed below. Please bear in mind that although Chabad is an international organization, it is de-centralized.  We do not receive any funding from Chabad headquarters or the telethon. Our entire budget for programs, salaries, etc. must be covered by local fundraising.

We are very glad to be honoring two special couples, who have contributed immensely to the Jewish community:

ABOUT BENNY
Benny Friedman was born in the Twin Cities, MN to a family of 14.

From his earliest years music was always a part of Benny's life, whether it was joining in the Shabbat zemirot of his father, Rabbi Manis Friedman or singing along with the latest hits from his uncle, the internationally acclaimed Avraham Fried.

Benny's studies took him to Iowa, LA, Miami, Tucson, and Israel, and wherever he went his talent was quickly discovered. Still a teenager, he was doing all sorts of performances.

Benny has recently jumped to the big stage and has performed before audiences all over North America from California to Miami, Chicago to the Catskill Mountains, Minneapolis to Tucson, Seattle and Toronto. He's being sought after by audiences as near as Montreal and as far out as Holland.

Benny has performed with all the greats - MBD, Oif Simchas, Piamenta, Yehuda!, Shloime Dachs, Lipa Schmeltzer, Shlomo Simcha, Yeedle, 8th Day, and of course his uncle Avraham Fried. He is currently studying voice in LA, under Seth Riggs, the legendary vocal coach.

Benny 's new moving show entitled "Judaism: The Song and the Story" has become a huge hit all along the west coast. The second in this series, "The Songs and Stories of Shabbat" opened this February in California.

Benny does not have an album yet, but don't blink. Because you know how it works with shooting stars!
